Reputation: 8 Array I've got a set of Nike cross trainers that I'm in love with. They are incredibly comfortable and great for running. I'll probly be buying another pair this summer just to wear around because they are that comfortable.

I haven't tried and UA shoes so I really can't compare the two.
Reputation: 6 Array I wear me some Nike Free or Chuck Taylor lows.
For cardio and general lifting, Nike Free's.
For lifting, wrestling shoes/chucks/squat shoes.
Reputation: 967 Array Cool thanks for the tips guys looking for as close to an all around shoe so I won't have to carry spair shoes
Nomz advice is solid. There is no such thing as an all around shoe for lifting weights and cardio. The same qualities that make a shoe good for lifting in, make it terrible for running in, and vice versa.
Wait! I take it back that there is no all around shoe. Vibram five fingers, the shoes that are sort of like a glove for your foot. I haven't used them personally, but I have heard great things about them.

No all around shoe? I beg to differ.

Reputation: 967 Array nice thanks to all of you didnt see the first part of nomz post probably go out and try some tonight
Reputation: 1001048 Array I would get some good cardio shoes and squat barefoot.
Reputation: 2578 Array What NomZ said was spot on.
I wear Shox for weight training/cardio and Chucks for Deads/Squats.
Reputation: 13642 Array I've got some Nike Darts, and I just take them off to squat and dead. Nike Frees will probably be my next buy in the shoe department.
Reputation: 9846 Array I got the nike spartan shoes..Love them super light great arches.
Reputation: 28 Array Love my imitation chucks for lifting, not much padding for extensive cardio, though.
Reputation: 23296 Array i wear my wrestling shoes for deads and squats....everything else is in new balances.....gonna have to look into some nike frees though

Reputation: 1001048 Array Just remember people, you don't want a shoe with a soft, cushiony sole for lifting. You need something with a hard, flat(unless you get a lifting shoe with a heel for squatting and such) sole.
Reputation: 967 Array lol at kooks post just saw it id wear it in the gym if i didnt have fear everybody would ask me where i got them from and it stopped me from my workout.......
Reputation: 23296 Array just got my nike frees in and they are by far the most comfortable shoe ive ever worn.....they are so light you forget you have shoes on.....they were awesome for cardio and also give you a great sense of balance.....love these shoes
I got a pair of nike frees and I wear them 24/7. Only time I dont use them is if im DLing Squatting or pressing. If youre use to doing these exercises in shoes I dont see why youd have a problem doing them in the shoes
