Recently, Grambo and Purus Labs were gracious enough to send me a full size tub of their newest flavor, Fresh Fruit, Muscle Marinade AND a full tub of D-Pol. (Thanks guys!!!) So I'm going to be putting them to the test for the next month. I've tried Muscle Marinade before and I've used D-Pol before, but never together like this.
Day 1
Weight: 216.5
Mixability 9/10: I used a full scoop of MM and dumped in my shaker and added 12 oz of water. i gave it a few shakes and noticed there were a couple stubborn clumps at the bottom of the shaker. a couple more shakes quickly fixed that. when i took a sip i didn't notice any grainy feeling, it definitely all dissolved.
Taste 8/10: This new Fresh Fruit flavor tasted just like the Cherry Limeade MM i had before. now its been a while since i had the Cherry Limeade so i could be mistaken. but i liked the Cherry Limeade, so i definitely liked this one. The only thing i would personally change is the sweetness. I like my pre-workouts to be a little more tart. Thats just personal preference though.
Energy 10/10: Its been a while since ive used a pre-workout so this was definitely a kick in the pants. I think i should have gone with a half a scoop to get started because i was all over the place. I had to switch to some lighter music to keep my head straight. I have to say though, when i did bring myself down and really focused, i was able to really plow through my sets. my last set of incline bench felt stronger than my first set.
Endurance 10/10: Now this category can be shared by the MM and the D-pol. As mentioned before, all of my sets felt stronger than the last. it was a great feeling to not be gassed out. Recently, i have added more volume to my workouts using Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 workout template called "Big But Boring." I will outline my workout below, but you'll see my high (for me) volume sets.
Pump 10/10: My pump tonight was awesome. it was a lot better than what i usually get. My pre-workout usually consists of some caffeine and thats it. this blew that out of the water. I dont know why i ever stopped taking a pre-workout.
Focus 8/10: Again, the jittery feeling kind of sabotaged this category. But when i was able to calm myself down, i was definitely in the zone. Im confident this will be better once i find a good dosage for myself.

Pretty solid workout for me today. Like i said i was a little stimmed out, but i think taking half a scoop for now will change that. But between the two products, i am impressed. My muscles felt very full and vascularity was awesome as well. I had a great pump the whole time and just looked full. It was awesome. that definitely helped contribute to my great workout. I'm really looking forward to the rest of my ride with this stuff. So far so good. great job Purus!!!
