BE PREPARED WHEN YOU ASK FOR A REFERENCE SOURCE OF INFORMATION.
Quick note: I'm writing this to help users who are hungry for information.
Please remember when you ask for proof to back up info presented by most of your experienced posters that it's a request that'll rarely be fulfilled. And I am truly sorry for that. I'm speaking from a standpoint of my personal experience. I've been involved in online fitness boards for around 8yrs or so. I've seen A LOT of info. 99.9% of the time there's no way that I can tell you where I saw it or its exact wording. It's just not possible. Normal people aren't going to save links to every piece of potential info.
Plus remember that most of your experienced veterans didn't get the info from one single source. I read all the info out there and draw educated conclusions. By looking at the info we can see undeniable patterns. Those of you with educations will know these patterns across many studies is way more reliable than any single study.
So know that when you ask anybody for a reference for their information, the typical response is most likely "google it and we can talk in a year". Not because we want to avoid answering, but because there's no single reference. I wish there was. I'd love to offer a page of links to answer most questions. It's just not possible, unfortunately.
